The Louisiana Art & Science Museum honors local and regional artists in a new series. Capital City Contemporary hosts works from artists who are contributing to the vitality of the state’s current art scene, and the first exhibit opens today at the downtown museum. The new show features two-dimensional abstract works from Baton Rouge artists, including Ed Pramuk, Paul Dean, Rosemary Goodell, Kathleen Lemoine and many more. The exhibit runs through Feb. 15. The gallery is open Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Admission is $7.25 for adults, $6.25 for children ages 2-12 and seniors 65 or older.
