Louisiana flavors will be in the spotlight at Alexander’s Highland Market‘s (18111 Highland Market Drive) next pop-up farmers market. The event kicks off at 10 a.m. Sunday and will feature Ben and Ben Becnel Farms of Belle Chasse and Luckett Farms of Pride. BiBi’s Patisserie & Tea House of Lafayette will also be on hand, giving patrons a sample of their gluten-free and low-glycemic baked goods.
Other newcomers to the market include Baton Rouge’s own Red Stick Spice Company, Jay D’s Louisiana Barbecue Sauce, POPCulture Popsicles and Cafeciteaux specialty coffee roasters. In addition to free food samples, the market will also host a free beer tasting from Tin Roof Brewing Co. and Bayou Teche Brewery and face painting for children.
