Alexander’s Highland Market (18111 Highland Park Drive) explores some of Italy’s finest wines in its monthly wine dinner tonight. The grocery store’s Taste of the Vineyard dinner starts with a 6 p.m. reception and service at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 per person. The menu includes seven courses, beginning with small bites of Prosciutto and fig crostatas, a steak house crostini and pan-fried scamorza with arugula salad and lemon butter. Other courses include a seafood entrée of seared scallops over micro greens with a citrus and tarragon gastrique and butter-poached lobster tail and a dessert of dark chocolate Tiramisu with macerated strawberries.
