Capturing enigmatic filmmaker Terrence Malick on camera is like getting a snapshot of the Loch Ness Monster, or throwing up gang signs in front of an iPhone with Bigfoot. It just doesn't happen.
This is the man who refused to accept his Palme d'Or honor for Tree of Life last year at Cannes, and has never appeared at the Oscars—despite being nominated.
But this year has been one of relative overexposure for The Thin Red Line helmer as he's shooting two films back-to-back in very public places—mostly live concerts around his hometown of Austin, Texas. After being spotted filming actors Rooney Mara and Christian Bale roaming the grounds of South By South West and Austin City Limits for his upcoming music industry drama Lawless, TMZ of all sources has the latest Malick sighting, a hilarious clip revealing a camera man peppering Benicio del Toro with questions on a Hollywood street, obviously clueless to the acclaimed director ducking out of his line of sight.
While Malick is also filming another Christian Bale-staring film this year called Knight of Cups, Lawless co-staring Ryan Gosling, is up first and Collider has a logline on the film here, and I'm more than intrigued to see what Malick is up to.

The highlights of the night were the three middle courses—a black bean soup laced with blood sausage to signify Lord Voldemort, a brace of coneys on black eyed peas resembling Sauron, and lamb medallions atop a fava bean puree to pay homage to the famous favorite of Hannibal Lector.
