George Graham, who owns a Lafayette ad agency, created a “Bluesiana Burger,” which will be featured on an episode of the Food Network Challenge this summer. A handful of amateur cooks were selected from 9,000 applicants to build a better burger. Graham uses “Zydeco sauce, Mardi Gras slaw and root beer glaze” in the recipe, which incorporates Barq’s root beer, Tabasco, Steen’s sugar cane vinegar and molasses products, as well as Zatarain’s creole mustard and root beer extract. “This burger is all about Louisiana, with local ingredients,” Graham says.
