Host Michael Symon tasted the Croque Madame Burger, a turkey burger topped with homemade bacon Mornay sauce, ham, spinach, tomato and a poached egg. The burger is a frequent menu special on Wednesdays, when the restaurant hosts its weekly Burger Bontemps events from 3 p.m. to close.
Symon also sampled the Poisson Acadiana, thin-cut fried catfish served over rice and topped with crawfish étouffée.
The episode’s air date is tentatively scheduled for February. The restaurant will plan a viewing party once the date is set.
CEO Emelie Kantrow Alton describes the filming experience as one she will never forget.
“Michael Symon is real, honest, entertaining,” she says. “We laughed—cackled is more like it—a lot.”

The publicity couldn’t come at a better time for Bistro Byronz as it celebrates its 10th anniversary next month.
“Never in a million years did we dream we would get national attention,” Alton says. “What we have to offer will be showcased to a wider demographic so that even more people can know about us.”
New restaurant in the works
The Food Network appearance is only the beginning of the exciting year the Bistro Byronz team has planned. Alton hinted at a spin-off restaurant concept in the works that they hope to have completed in the next year. While she couldn’t say much more, she hopes to make an official announcement soon.
