Go beyond s’mores with these campfire recipes—no pot or pan required

Blueberry orange muffin balls

What you’ll need: Oranges, just-add-water blueberry muffin mix (Betty Crocker or similar) and water

How to: Mix muffin batter per directions on the box. Cut four oranges in half and scoop out their insides, then fill each of the halves with the muffin mix. Wrap in a few layers of foil and place directly into the fire, turning regularly for 10 minutes. When finished, open the foil and eat your orange-infused muffin with a spoon.

Lemon herb salmon filets

What you’ll need: Two salmon filets, two lemons, salt, olive oil and thyme (or your favorite herb)

How to: Lay filets on foil and rub with olive oil. Season to taste with salt and herbs, then squeeze the juice of one lemon over your filets. Wrap up and cook on a rack over the fire for about 20 minutes or directly on the fire for 6-8, until flaky, turning once halfway through.

S’mores sundae bombs

What you’ll need: Mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, waffle cones and your favorite sundae toppings (we recommend fresh fruit, caramel, sprinkles or crushed cookies)

How to: Stuff a waffle cone with marshmallows and your toppings of choice. Wrap in foil and cook over your fire for 5 minutes. Try creating your own flavors—our favorites are banana split (banana slices, strawberries, sprinkles, chocolate morsels and caramel) and rocky road (extra chocolate and almonds).

French toast by the loaf*

What you’ll need: One loaf of sliced bread, a carton of Burnbrae Farms Egg Creations French Toast Blend, fresh berries and syrup

How to:
Wrap your loaf loosely in parchment paper and foil, leaving the top open. Sprinkle diced berries over the bread and between the layers, then cover with the liquid egg mixture and wrap the whole thing tightly in foil. Cook on the fire for 35-40 minutes, then remove the top layer of foil and drench the loaf in syrup. Top with sliced berries.

Easy cleaning

Forget dish-washing. Campfire dining means you can cook with parchment paper and aluminum foil and then toss it in the trash.
