Cantaloupe and honeydew are quite possibly the last things you would expect to drink. Melons are somewhat solid. You slice them up. You stick them on toothpicks if you’re being dainty. But in general, you eat them. You can drink pineapples and oranges, apples and grapes. But melons? Whose bright idea was this?
Capital City Grill’s, apparently. They offer four fruit-infused liqueurs. Strawberry, pineapple, and watermelon have been soaking in vodka, while the cantaloupe and honeydew melon mix is based in rum. So that’s where all the rum has gone.
And from 3 to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, you can find that rum and those vodkas sitting pretty, mixed into various martinis for only $5. The melons may have been your last choice, but I suggest they come first. Fruity and tangy, rummy and yummy, this infusion is weaker than the vodka varieties, but that might be its saving grace. A splash of Sprite and Triple Sec and it rounds out nicely.

Capital City Grill on Sherwood Forest is like an awesome place for lunch on Thursdays-this time of the year (fall-time). Take a seat out on the patio... Get a Shrimp Poboy with the shoestring fries... and watch the hot (big breasted - tight sweatshirt) ladies come walking by. I go for the food and the ladies - and the nice breeze between my legs.
