Baton Rouge’s selection of sushi restaurants has gotten even more bountiful with the opening of two new spots: Sushi Masa (sushimasafusion.com) on Essen Lane and Kabuki Sushi and Japanese Steakhouse (facebook.com/kabukibatonrouge) on Bluebonnet Boulevard. Sushi Masa offers Japanese fusion cuisine and steak, as well as an extensive all-you-can-eat menu that includes several varieties of sushi, appetizers, dessert and even your first round of cocktails. Kabuki occupies the space that was formerly Primo’s Steakhouse. It offers both fresh sushi and hibachi tables and private “tatami rooms,” where guests can dine while seated on the floor Japanese-style.
