Hear all the classics when School House Rock! visits Manship Theatre
The pop culture phenomenon, School House Rock!, comes to Baton Rouge this week. The popular television show has been adapted for the stage and will be performed Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. for schools. There will also be an encore performance 7 p.m. Thursday. All performances take place at the Manship Theatre. The show features renditions of classic songs such as “Conjunction Junction,” “Just a Bill” and “Three is a Magic Number.” Tickets for the 7 p.m. show are $15. For those older patrons going to the show for a little bit of nostalgia, the venue will host a happy hour 6 p.m.-7 p.m. in the Gallery with themed drink specials. The Fresh Beat Band brings its family-friendly jams to the Capital City
The Beat is back. Nickelodeon’s hit band, The Fresh Beat Band, will perform at the River Center Saturday at 5 p.m. Tickets are $54.40. The quartet’s appearance is part of a tour that sees the band playing all of its greatest hits, including its take on “Walk Like an Egyptian.” VIP packages are still available.
