There is nothing quite like game days in Baton Rouge. With two universities in the Capitol City, Saturdays in the fall are city-wide holidays. But after the tailgating, kickoffs and post-game celebrations come to an end, traveling fans need a place to stay.
Booking hotel rooms can feel as competitive as the actual football games. Hotels on or bordering LSU’s campus, like The Cook Hotel and Sonesta ES Suites, show as fully booked for the 2023 season, while others nearby only have availability for select games.

Tips for finding available hotels
• The closer a hotel is to campus, the quicker it will sell out. When looking for last-minute rooms for big games, consider checking the entire Greater Baton Rouge Area, including Port Allen, Baker and Prairieville.
• Consider visiting Baton Rouge for non-conference and non-rivalry games. Hotel rooms are less competitive for these dates and will be available closer to game day.
