Noel Rockmore was a prolific New York painter who is said to have produced more than 15,000 works of art during his life. To celebrate the painter, the Louisiana Art & Science Museum will host an art exhibition titled “The Faith & The Fury: Noel Rockmore & His Patron.” On Thursday, there will be an opening reception to display the unique story of the eccentric artist and his long-time patron Shirley Marvin, who will be present. Admission to the event is free, and it starts at 5 p.m. Guests are encouraged to browse the exhibit at their own pace while enjoying wine and hors d’oeuvres from Capital City Grill.
