Nicole Williamson – People to Watch 2015

Tread BR has embedded itself in the local scene by teaming up with Country Table and The Big Squeezy, but owner Nicole Williamson got her start training in New York and London. She’s brought back home to Louisiana big-city innovations such as iBike for one of the most state-of-the-art fitness experiences in town.

“All the new equipment gets launched on the West Coast and then trickles down later,” Williamson says. “So I make it a habit and a priority to go to L.A. and bigger cities to see what’s coming up next and bring it immediately to Baton Rouge.”

Williamson believes that with the right equipment and small, personal classes, anyone can handle high-intensity fitness training. As she looks toward opening a second Tread location in 2015, she plans to limit each class size to 12 so no student gets lost in the shuffle.
