Plan for winter and spring marathons in Baton Rouge

The Louisiana Marathon begins Friday afternoon, Jan. 15, in downtown Baton Rouge. Saturday features a quarter marathon and 5K and a 1.2-mile “marathon” for kids 12 and younger. The marathon and half marathon leave the Pentagon Barracks at 7 a.m. Sunday.

Festival performers include the Michael Foster Project, Big Sam’s Funky Nation and Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters. Visit thelouisianamarathon.com for details.

Won’t be around for marathon weekend? There are tons of other races in and around Baton Rouge coming up. We’ve got a small sampling on the next page. Keep in mind that many races have registration deadlines prior to race day.
