Mestizo’s suburban twin: Jim Urdiales, owner of Mestizo Louisiana Mexican Restaurant on Acadian, has officially opened his sister eatery in Prairieville, across from Frank’s Smokehouse on Airline. La Mestiza Mexican Bistro—housed in the old K Michaels Steakhouse—offers a scaled-down version of Mestizo’s menu.Liquor license snatched: The state office of Alcohol and Beverage Control has taken away Chelsea’s Café’s liquor license—at least until the Monday court date.
