Local chef and food writer Jay Ducote is showing off his skills to a national audience this weekend. Ducote is one of four chefs competing in the latest episode of Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen. The episode debuts Sunday at 9 p.m.
In the episode, dubbed “Ho-ley Pot,” Ducote and the other competitors have to prepare a dish using a single-cup coffee maker for host Alton Brown and judges. To celebrate, Ducote and Lock & Key Whiskey Bar (5110 Corporate Blvd.) are teaming up for a Cutthroat Kitchen viewing party. The free festivities start Sunday at 7:30 p.m. and include food and drink.
