Remember those 1980s adventure movies so silly and schlocky, so bad they were good? Director avid Gordon Green and his winking, slumming cohorts Natalie Portman and James Franco have created similar lunacy with the comedy Your Highness, new on DVD this week. This tongue-in-cheek medieval adventure centers on two brothers: Franco’s chivalrous hero and Danny McBride’s wayward slacker. On a quest to rescue Franco’s kidnapped bride and win the respect of their kingdom, the brothers face an evil sorcerer, a ferocious minotaur and their own predilection for the “wizard’s weed.” Zooey Deschanel and Justin Theroux co-star. Rated R.
