This Friday, June 3, is National Doughnut Day. Chances are you don’t need more motivation than that to grab a doughnut (or a dozen).
But we rounded up National Doughnut Day specials you can find around Baton Rouge, anyway:
Tiger Deaux-Nuts: Known best for its maple bacon doughnut, this delectable shop is celebrating National Doughnut Day with extended hours. Tiger Deaux-nuts will be open 6 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, serving its regular flavors as well as a handful of specialty flavors, including strawberry cream cheese, maple bacon, vanilla jalapeño, Nutella banana cream, blueberry cheesecake and cinnamon toast crunch. The shop is also offering some giveaways to continue the doughnut celebration throughout the year. Customers can enter to win prizes such as a free dozen each month for a year, doughnut holes, breakfast sandwich combos, gift cards and more.

Mr. Ronnie’s Famous Hot Donuts: In celebration of this glorious sugary day, Mr. Ronnie’s is offering a dozen doughnuts of any variety for $7.50 instead of its usual $9.85 and offering a free glazed doughnut to everyone who walks in the door.
Krispy Kreme: Snag one free doughnut of any variety with your purchase at this Plank Road doughnut shop. The bakery even made a Facebook event for the celebration, claiming a coffee, milk or soda added to your donut will make the “ultimate lovefest.”
Dunkin’ Donuts: Buy a beverage, get a doughnut. With the purchase of any beverage at Dunkin’, customers will get a free donut of their choice. Dunkin’ Donuts is also starting Free Donut Fridays, a weekly special that offers each customer an extra free doughnut with their purchase.
A few other local doughnut shops to check out:
Mary Lee Donuts: Mary Lee Donuts has nine locations in Baton Rouge and offers all the classic flavors, such as glazed, chocolate-covered or sprinkled, and some locations even offer Creauxssaint Donuts, or glazed croissant doughnuts.
