Though previously reported to be closed and replaced by a Vietnamese restaurant, Chinese Combo King, a quick service restaurant located near the North Gates of LSU, will remain open under new management, according to The Daily Reveille.
On Tuesday, the student newspaper reported that the restaurant’s owners, Alice and Morris Lo, closed the business after more than five and a half years in business. It was also reported that the Los sold the building at 166 W. Chimes St. to friends Lan and Vu Nguyen, the couple that operates Little Saigon, a Vietnamese restaurant on Florida Boulevard known for its beef pho.

While it was said that Chinese Combo King would become Little Saigon II, The Daily Reveille reported Wednesday that Chinese Combo King will keep its name and will remain open under the Nguyens’ management.
Property owner James Hall of Cole, Cole & Hall Properties, told The Daily Reveille that the Los are “legally bound by a lease extending into 2017.”
