‘Zombie Pub Crawl’ hosted by 10/31 Consortium, Fifolet Halloween Festival happening this Friday
As part of the Fifolet Halloween Festival, 10/31 Consortium will hold its “Zombie Pub Crawl” on Friday, Oct. 28.
The crawl includes drink deals at Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge Downtown, Draft House bar, Huey’s Bar and Happy’s Irish Pub.
Participants must be 21 or older and in zombie attire. Between 7:45 p.m. and 8 p.m., attendees will meet in North Boulevard Town Square under the big screen.

Trick or treat hours set
Get your kids’ costumes ready, because trick or treating hours have already been announced for Monday.
Here are the times, according to WBRZ:
East Baton Rouge, Ascension, East Feliciana, Iberville and St. James parishes: 6-8 p.m.
Livingston Parish: 6-8 p.m. (Pendarvis Lane, Bryan Park Drive and Magnolia Drive will be closed to protect homes affected by the flood, according to WBRZ. Trick-or-treating allowed among residents)
West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana parishes: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
There’s still time to attend BREC’s ‘Boo at the Zoo’
If you missed “Boo at the Zoo” last week, BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo is hosting its second weekend of the event this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29-30.
From 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., families can travel throughout the zoo, visiting several trick-or-treat stations. Other activities like a Halloween Hay Maze, Ed-Zoo-Cation Station, Spooky Train Ride and Enchanted Swamp Tour will be available, according to a press release.

River Center Arena unveils two new restaurants
The Baton Rouge River Center Arena is getting an update in its food and beverage department with the launch of The Smokehouse Café and Ma Rouge’s Pizza & Panini.
The Smokehouse Café will offer prime-rib sandwiches, smoked pork spare ribs, smoked chicken wings and Cajun crab cake sliders, according to a press release. Ma Rouge’s Pizza & Panini will offer a combination of Cajun and Italian food with its panini and pizza selection. The new eateries will be located on the lower concourse of the arena and on the north side.
“We have a great catering division called SAVOR…Baton Rouge. I wanted to use our culinary talent to bring our patrons more than the predictable concession fare, and we are doing that with The Smokehouse Café and Ma Rouge’s,” General Manager Michael Day said in the press release.
The River Center is also adding “more mobile beer on-tap vending stands and bar locations,” according to the statement.
The Baton Rouge Irish Club to host annual ‘Wine and Food Experience’
Head to Celtic Studios on Friday, Oct. 28, for The Baton Rouge Irish Club’s “Wine and Food Experience.”
The event will begin at 7 p.m. with a wine tasting and dishes from Baton Rouge and New Orleans chefs and restaurants. A few of the vendors at this year’s event include City Pork Brasserie & Bar, French Market Bistro and Crescent Crown Distributing. Entertainment will be provided by Wild Irish Roots and The Nick Abrams Band.

Cajun Nation Fest is this Saturday with musical guest Little Texas
The flood relief effort continues this weekend through Cajun Nation Fest Flood Relief Benefit.
On Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29-30, at Louis Mouch Jr. Multi-Purpose Facility in Port Allen, guests can listen to music from artists such as Little Texas, CJ Solar, The Anteeks and more. Food and drink will be provided by vendors such as Pullin Pork, Anderson’s Gourmet, Kona Ice and Déjà Vu Daiquiris.
Festivities are 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices vary. For more information on the event and to purchase tickets, attendees can visit the Cajun Nation Fest website.
