Dine Roundup: District Donuts to open in Baton Rouge next spring, plus upcoming food events

District Donuts is headed to Baton Rouge

If you’re planning a trip down to New Orleans for some District Donuts Sliders and Brew, you might want to wait a little longer. Come next spring, you’ll be able to get a treat from the popular restaurant here in Baton Rouge instead.

The eatery announced in a Facebook post that it’s officially headed to the Red Stick in “late spring 2017.” The shop’s location is set for Towne Center at Cedar Lodge.

The restaurant is known for its rotating menu of decadent doughnut flavors such as pecan pie, peanut butter cup and ginger mint julep, as well as coffee, sliders and other menu items. Check out a few of its creations below, and get ready for next spring, when you can sample the restaurant’s offerings in person.
