Where to eat and who to see at North Gate Music & Arts Fest this weekend


This Friday, North Gate Music & Arts Fest takes over the historic West Chimes Street from 4-11 p.m.

Wandering up and down the block, patrons can listen to local music, watch performances by AirSeekers, participate in the Halloween costume contest and visit nearly 30 artisan vendors selling jewelry, home goods and art. Louie’s Cafe, The Chimes and The State Bar will be serving up food and Abita Brewing Company beers, according to the Facebook event page.

But if all the shopping and music appreciation makes you really hungry, the North Gates area offers plenty of sit-down food options, too. From BR’s historic favorites like The Chimes and Louie’s Cafe to buzzworthy newcomers like Barcadia and The State Bar, here are all the food and drink options available around the festival:
