Meet the authors behind ‘Southeast Louisiana Food’

The Louisiana Old State Capitol celebrates the release of Jeremy and Addie K. Martin’s book Southeast Louisiana Food: A Seasoned Tradition with a free reception and book signing Thursday 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. At the event, the couple will discuss the tastes and cultures that make Cajun cuisine unique. Published by History Press last month, the Martins’ work shows how Cajun food is formed by a blend of three centuries of cultures, with traces of American Indian, French, German and many others contributing to the distinct flavors.
