LeBlanc’s Food Stores opened its first Baton Rouge location Tuesday.
The Frais Marche store takes the place of the former Hi-Nabor in Drusilla Village, located at 3446 Drusilla Lane. By mid-day Tuesday, the parking lot was packed, and there was hardly a spot available.
The store emphasizes fresh produce and prepared meal options and side items. LeBlanc’s director of corporate communications Brooke LeBlanc Knight told 225 Dine last month that an additional 10,000 square feet was added to the space, bringing the total size of the store to 35,000 square feet.

“It is going fantastic,” LeBlanc says of the store’s first morning. “Locals have embraced it. … We believe this is the right location at the right time for LeBlanc’s.”
