If crawfish and Cajun music sound like a good time, you won’t want to miss what Breaux Bridge is offering this weekend.
The Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival kicks off Friday, May 1, at 4 p.m. at Parc Hardy at 2090 Rees St. The weekend-long festival includes crawfish-eating contests, multiple stages of music, crawfish races, dance lessons and cook-offs. Check out the full schedule.

For foodies and crawfish lovers, this is the festival. You’ll be able to get your fill of the festival headliner, crawfish, in every imaginable way—fried, boiled, in an étouffée—as well as enjoy gumbo, red beans and rice, boudin and jambalaya. Check out a full list of food items and try not to drool.
Musical performers include Bonsoir, Catin, Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, Wayne Toups & Zydecajun and Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band.
Admission is $5 on Friday and Sunday and $10 on Saturday. Advance three-day passes are also available for $15.
