Nearly three weeks after well-known restaurateur Ruffin Rodrigue’s unexpected death from a heart attack, plans are in place to keep Rodrigue’s signature Highland Road restaurant, Ruffino’s, up and running, as well as two sister establishments—Ruffino’s on the River in Lafayette and Ruffino’s Catering at De La Ronde Hall downtown.
Rodrigue was the sole owner of the restaurant group, after buying out his former partner, Peter Sclafani, in 2018, according to the attorney for Rodrigue’s estate, Brett Furr.
