Tailgating season is right around the corner, and Tin Roof is releasing a new beer to celebrate the football season.
The Baton Rouge brewery will release Gameday Session IPA at the tail end of summer. The beer is full of notes of citrus, lemon, grapefruit, mango and piney flavors. The beer also has Amarillo, Simcoe, Mosaic and Warrior hops.
“I’m a hop head, so I’m excited about the Gameday Session IPA,” Tin Roof co-founder Charles Caldwell says in a press release. “The hops are wonderfully aromatic and really shine through.”

The latest Tin Roof beer will be released during a tailgate kickoff party Saturday, Aug. 15, at the brewery’s tap room (1624 Wyoming St.). The event starts at noon and features food from ShoppersChoice.com and a live DJ.
