You can find a lot of high school student-athletes working to balance their academic and athletic careers, but it’s not as common to find someone excelling at both at the level of Tamia Downs.
The North Iberville star is not only a four-sport athlete who was named team captain on both the basketball and volleyball teams, but Downs has also maintained a 4.0 GPA in the process. She also recently joined the newly-formed softball team without having any prior knowledge or experience of the game and quickly became one of the top performers on the team.
