How to do your own Halloween zombie makeup

Makeup artist CeKeisha Williams shares how to zombify your Halloween look

Make a scar:

What you’ll need:
Pick up some makeup foundation and makeup remover from your local beauty supply store. At a local party supply store, pick up some modeling putty/wax and fake squirt blood. Prices for each range from $3 to $7.

Steps:

1. Roll and stretch your desired amount of modeling wax until it’s flexible enough to form the shape of your scar.

2.  Place the shaped wax on skin. Use your thumb to smooth and blend edges onto the skin.

3. Use a small wooden stick or toothpick to make a line down the middle of the wax mimicking a scar. Make sure to extend the line past the end of the wax.

4. Apply and blend foundation around the edges of the wax onto the skin.

5. Using a thin paintbrush, insert the fake blood into the line you created in the wax. Once again, extend past the wax, allowing the fake blood to drip downward onto the skin to give a more natural effect.

To remove:
Peel off as much of the wax as possible. Use makeup remover to remove the remainder. Use soap and water to remove the fake blood.

What you’ll need:
Dark purple lipstick and black gel eyeliner

Steps:

1. With your fingertips, lightly pat the lipstick under and around the eye (or the area you want the bruise to be) and blend, blend, blend. Be sure that it doesn’t appear heavy in one area.

2. Pat a very small amount of the black eyeliner directly under the eye where you applied the lipstick. Blend.

To remove:
Use soap and water or makeup removal wipes.
