The wizarding world of Harry Potter was first introduced to us Muggles 20 years ago. With Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, J.K. Rowling launched a franchise so influential and pervasive that its brand is now worth an estimated $15 billion. Perhaps most importantly, she introduced an entire generation of youngsters to the joy of reading.
This Saturday, the Main Library at Goodwood is inviting wizards and Muggles alike to celebrate the franchise’s milestone at its Harry Potter Extravaganza.

The event will offer everything a Harry Potter fanatic could ever dream of: Quidditch, trivia, arts and crafts, prizes and more.
If that’s not enticing enough for you, just wait. A wizard rock band—yes, a wizard rock band—will perform at the event. Performing original songs inspired by the Harry Potter franchise, Tonks and the Aurors travels the country playing in libraries and bookstores.
The Harry Potter Extravaganza takes place Saturday, Sept. 1, 3-7 p.m. The event is free. The Main Library at Goodwood is at 7711 Goodwood Blvd.
