The gardens are an expansive 38 acres, and considered the most beautiful in Plantation Country, showcasing a panorama of indigenous Louisiana plant life and stunning exotics. The gardens are planned to reflect the unique beauty of each part of the year, with an extensive color renewal each April and November.
A Must Do
Try the restaurants on the property: Latil’s Landing, The Carriage House, and Dixie Cafe. These three have captured the attention of food critics across the country. Stop at the quaint Turtle Bar. It’s discreet, full of history, and known for its craft cocktails. Stay the night or weekend in a luxurious cottage to allow plenty of time for exploring and relaxing at the estate. Guided mansion tours are offered daily from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m., and offer a glimpse into plantation life.
