With fall right around the corner, Baton Rouge has welcomed pumpkin spice everything and fall colors back into our lives. But one local organization is planning something a little greener.
The Halfway Krewe encourages Baton Rougeans to dig out their shamrocks and chartreuse this Saturday, Sept. 16, for the third annual Halfway to St. Pat’s Day fest.
The event will feature live music from #ROCKBAND, prizes, plenty of green beer and the announcement of the 2018 Parade Marshal.

As part of its partnership with Wearin’ of the Green, Baton Rouge’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade, the event will kick off at 10 a.m.—parade time.

However, the partying is for a purpose. The money raised through ticket sales will support Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here. Everyone who purchases a ticket will receive a free green beer.
Halfway to St. Pat’s Day will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Overpass Merchant, at 2904 Perkins Road.
