Why We Love It
The LSU Museum of Art is a hidden gem in downtown Baton Rouge located on the corner of Convention and Third Street. With over 13,000 square feet of exhibition space and 6,500 art objects ranging from Chinese jade to Louisiana art, LMOA gives its visitors a first-hand look at world class collections.
What’s New
On view November 17 through February 2023 is the Mediterranea: American Art from the Graham D. Williford Collection. The collection features 71 works created by American artists who visited or studied in the areas included in the Grand Tour tradition in the late 19th and early 20th century. The paintings explore the rich diversity of the Mediterranean region through the eyes of American artists.
