Rock out on Friday with Foghat

Listen to Foghat’s 50th Anniversary celebration this Friday, July 14, at the Raising Cane’s River Center Theatre.

Foghat started in London in 1971, and since then, the band has played songs around the world and won multiple gold records. Their hard rock and blues cost $25 for an orchestra seat and around $75 for a pit seat.

The show starts at 7 p.m. This concert is a clear bag event, so all bags and purses must be see-through. The Raising Cane’s River Center Theatre is at 275 S. River Road.


Head to the Baton Rouge Open all weekend

Who needs the PGA when you can see all the swings, chips and putts of the players locally at the picturesque Santa Maria Golf Course?

Practice your best golf clap while cheering on golfers competing in BREC Golf’s Baton Rouge Open Saturday and Sunday, July 15-16.

Make your own resin jewelry this Saturday, July 15, at Create Studios.

Creative Studio members will teach you how to encase flowers or items of your choosing in resin. This experience is $54 a person (plus fees) and comes with the materials needed for your masterpiece.

Go to the Bayou Car Show on Saturday

Rev up your motors this Saturday, July 15, at the Raising Cane’s River Center.

The Bayou Motor Fest Car Show features all kinds of cars: muscle, classic, and imports. All types of vehicles will take part in this completely revamped event.

The festival runs from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. and costs $20 for a standard ticket or only $5 for kids. The River Center is at 275 S. River Road.


Dress up and celebrate local theater Saturday night

Give Theatre Baton Rouge some love as it celebrates another successful season at its annual fundraising event.

The 77th Season Gala: A Celebration of the Jukebox Musical will take place at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum and feature food, silent auctions, performances and more.

Ride a glowing bike downtown Sunday

This Sunday, July 16, Geaux Ride hosts its Ride with the Tribe fundraising event. Geaux Ride is known for lighting up the night with its glowing bike rims.

Participants receive a snack pack as well as the opportunity to rent a bike. Ride with the Tribe starts at 6 p.m. and tickets are $35 a person.

The two-hour bike ride starts at 521 N. Third Street and runs in a line around downtown Baton Rouge.
