Jam out to America’s music
Celebrate Independence Day with a free concert at the Main Library at Goodwood this Tuesday, July 4. This nearly two-hour event takes place right as the sun sets, from 7–8:30 p.m.
The concert is all about America, with songs sure to instill a sense of patriotism befitting the holiday. Don’t forget to don your red, white and blue clothes.

Watch the biggest fireworks show of the year
Be a part of the biggest fireworks show of the year this Tuesday, July 4, at Baton Rouge’s annual Fourth of July Spectacular.
This evening-long celebration will feature food trucks and live entertainment. Listen to music and eat classic American food as you await the light show.
The fireworks show can be seen from any downtown vantage point starting at 9 p.m., and it will be broadcast live on WBRZ Channel 2. Head to 222 North Blvd. if you want to be at the center of the action.
Design your own tote bag
Ever wanted to make your own tote bag? At the Jones Creek Regional Library this Wednesday, July 5, you can do just that.
The library will provide you with a free tote bag and the means to design it. Makers will show you how to use a Cricut screen printer to iron on your custom designs.
