Tackle a new game on Thursday

Touchdown at Big Cheezy on Thursday, Aug. 1, for its first NCAA College Football 25 Night.

Players can direct message Big Cheezy to join the bracket. The winner will receive a $40 gift card, and everyone who plays will get 10% off their order.

Laugh at Spoof Night! with Point Break on Friday

Catch a wave over to the Manship Theatre to experience Point Break like never before on Friday, Aug. 2.

This interactive movie experience lovingly pokes fun at fan favorite films with live commentary, drinking games and more from The Family Dinner Comedy Troupe. If audiences are not familiar, Point Break is about an FBI agent who goes undercover in order to catch a gang of surfers who may or may not be bank robbers.

Play some games on Friday

Teenagers can enjoy an end-of-summer celebration on Friday, Aug. 2, with Game Night at the West Baton Rouge Parish Library.

Teens in grades 6-12 can enjoy Maverick’s Ice Cream & Italian Ice and after-hours games. A variety of video games and consoles will be provided, along with games such as Cards Against Humanity: Family Edition and Snake Oil. Traditional board games will also be available.

Jam to Red, Rock, & Blue on Saturday

Head over to the Varsity Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 3, for Red, Rock, & Blue.

Bring your friends for an evening of music featuring The Chris LeBlanc Band, Amos Moses, Zaemon and Kirk Holder.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Advance tickets cost $10, or $20 at the door on the day of the show. Varsity Theatre is at 3353 Highland Road. Find more information here.


See the circus Saturday and Sunday

Traipse over to Refuge Aerial for The Acadian Circus’ A Circus in Wonderland show on Saturday, Aug. 3, and Sunday, Aug. 4.

Guests can expect acrobats to defy gravity with their aerial displays, jugglers to dazzle with their dexterity and clowns to make crowds laugh with their antics. This will be an experience like no other, mixing reality with fantasy.
