Watch Rodney Carrington’s comedy Friday

Listen to some comedy and music this Friday, July 21, at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel when Rodney Carrington performs live. Starting at 8 p.m., he’ll take the stage with his renowned mature comedy skits.

Carrington’s show is nearing sold out with tickets running from $35 towards the back of the theater to $120 to get closer up.

Learn mastery over your camera like a photographer at the Main Library at Goodwood this Saturday, July 22. The Baton Rouge Photography Group teaches the Shooting in Manual Mode Class starting at noon.

Get a view of the sun at the Highland Road Park Observatory this Saturday, July 22. This is a change of pace from the usual stargazing events.

In this solar viewing, the sun projects onto a white, viewable, surface through three different protective layers. This allows viewers to see it in a way they never have before.

Create art with a collage expert Sunday

Make a collage completely unique to you this Sunday, July 23. 225 Theatre Collective and Arika Shaffet host a Collaging Workshop from 2–4 p.m.

Learn from Shaffet as she talks about her many collages and creations over the years, where she sells them, and how she got her start. The supplies for your creation are provided in the $30 ticket along with snacks and drinks.
