Baton Rouge General’s annual holiday display is back.
Last week, the Holiday Lights at Baton Rouge General presented by Entergy lit up the large green space at the hospital’s campus at Bluebonnet Boulevard and Picardy Avenue near the Mall of Louisiana. The free light display starts at 5:30 p.m. each night, and will run through Dec. 31.
Among the more than 400,000 lights, this year’s display includes a brand-new 24-foot walk-through holiday lights tunnel, as well as a large walk-through ornament and holiday present; a 40-foot tree and two 25-foot trees synchronized to music; eight singing trees; and a 9-foot Cajun alligator light display.

Also new this year is the ticketed “Snow & Glow” event, offering families the chance to meet holiday characters, play in real snow, watch performers, order bites from food trucks, and take pictures with Santa. Snow & Glow is this Thursday, Dec. 2, and Thursday, Dec. 16, 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for kids, and must be purchased in advance here.
“Celebrating the Christmas season with our Holiday Lights display gives a much-needed boost to our entire community, especially our patients and our team members, during this challenging year,” Baton Rouge General CEO Edgardo Tenreiro says in a press release. “Driving by or strolling through, it’s our way to spread a little holiday cheer.”
