Buddy Guy to headline 2016 Baton Rouge Blues Festival


The lineup for the 2016 Baton Rouge Blues Festival, one of the oldest and most popular blues festivals in America, will see the homecoming of headlining blues legend Buddy Guy.

The 2016 lineup, announced today in a press release, features blues legends, both local and internationally known, including Buddy Guy, Latimore, Curtis Harding and Kenny Neal and the Neal Family. This isn’t the first rodeo for 10 of this year’s performers, including Henry Gray, who will be performing at the festival for the 18th time.

The 22nd annual festival returns to the downtown area on Saturday, April 9, from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 10, from from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in. The event is free and open to the public.  Concerts will be held in and around Repentance Park and Galvez Plaza.
